Library guides: EndNote: Sync &amp; access from multiple machines

NB: If you have not already registered for your EndNote online account, you will not be able to sync your library until the upgrade to EndNote 21 is available - please contact the library for more information.
EndNote allows you to synchronise your desktop library to your EndNote Online account.
You can use the sync feature to download your library from your online account to another computer or device.
You can only sync one library at a time.
Do not move or rename your EndNote library files after they are synchronized as this will break the link to the Sync target library.
Any changes you make to your EndNote library will sync and be reflected in you EndNote library on other devices.

EndNote libraries are cross-platform compatible. Following the EndNote end user licence agreement, this means:

You can install EndNote on up to three computers for personal use
Those computers can be any combination of Mac and Windows machines
By creating or logging into and EndNote online account (under preferences > Sync), that individual can sync their library across three computers, as well as access it through EndNote Online and the iPad app.
