Downloading and Installing EndNote Help

  • Check your system compatibility 
  • If you have previously used EndNote, always save (compress) a copy of your existing library, and backup any existing EndNote custom content files (e.g. output styles, connection files, import filters) prior to upgrading. Read more about backing up custom files here.

Help with using EndNote

  • EndNote is a software program and it takes time to become proficient in its use. We recommend working through the EndNote Tutorial to familiarize yourself with the basic functions of EndNote. It is also recommended to read through the Long documents section of the Library guide before setting up your thesis documents.
  • The Library hold regular classes throughout the year on using EndNote. Please check the Library Events page for current information.
  • If you encounter problems using EndNote (i.e. following installation), contact the Library staff via Chat or make an appointment with your Faculty Librarian.
  • For more complicated issues using EndNote you may need to seek technical help through Clarivate. You can email endnote.support@clarivate.com
