EndNote

Do I need to upgrade to EndNote 21?

You do not need to upgrade to EndNote 21 from EndNote 20 or earlier versions if:

  • You are close to completing your major work (publication, thesis etc)
  • You are already using EndNote's sync features and Endnote online
  • You don't need sync features (required for using across devices and sharing libraries or groups)

Use EndNote 21 if:

EndNote 21 new features

  • Recover a lost or damaged library
  • Data restoration function for individual references or libraries
  • Organise your references with tags
  • EndNote Web syncing - available for 3 years from activation date
  • EndNote Word Online CWYW - requires an EndNote Web account activated with EndNote 21
  • CWYW in Google Docs

More information about EndNote 21's new features can be found here
