APA 7th Referencing Guide

• Author - the person or organisation that uploaded the video (even if they did not create the actual content)
• Date - provide the specific date on which the video was uploaded.
• Time stamp - include a time stamp in the in-text citation when quoting directly from an audiovisual work 

Elements of the reference

Group author or Individual author - last name, initial(s) [Username - if available]. (Year, Month Day). Title of video - italicised [Video]. Site name. URL

In-text citation

(O'Brien, 2017) OR O'Brien (2017) demonstrated that ....

In-text citation - direct quote

(Gallagher, 2016, 00:06:17) OR Gallagher (2016, 00:06:17) concluded that ....

When the speaker is not listed as the author, integrate their name into the narrative, e.g. Brown explained that ... (TED, 2012).
