RAISE is an independent-learning tool designed to build the research skills of Southern Cross University postgraduate students. The four modules cover search tips, advanced search tools, managing your research information, and disseminating your research.
Access each of the four modules here:
- Fundamentals of searching will help you learn how to search effectively. Searching for information is not a neat, linear process. It is an evolving, circular and iterative process.
- Extend your searching introduces you to strategies and tools which support more comprehensive searching. We also explain the varied level of searching required for different types of research projects.
- Managing research information provides advice about resources to use when managing your references and how to keep up to date with the literature in your field, responsibilities you need to be aware of as a researcher at Southern Cross University, and the importance of managing research data.
- Getting published introduces issues to consider when planning to publish, including authorship, copyright and intellectual property, building your researcher profile and creating research identifiers, and collaboration and networking.
