MA Healthcare is an established provider of nursing and medical education, offering printed resources, conferences and websites for professionals at all levels of the health service. This Read & Publish agreement is for MAH Complete, so authors can publish in almost all of the MA Healthcare journals..
Uncapped agreement
- This is an uncapped agreement. There is no limit to the number of articles that can be published open access (OA).
Agreement details
This agreement allows authors from participating institutions to publish in most of MA Healthcare's hybrid and gold OA journals without the need for any transactional article processing charge (APC). Further information about this agreement and the open access workflow (how to submit your article) can be found on the CAUL site and from the MA Healthcare site.
Key points
- Articles accepted from 1 January 2025 are eligible for open access publishing under this agreement
- Articles from eligible authors that have been accepted in an active subscription year will be made OA
- Authors will be identified as eligible for OA publishing by their:
- institutional affiliation
- email address
- Responsible corresponding authors must use their institutional email address when submitting an article for publication, using a personal email address may result in delayed approval of the article or the article may not be approved to be published open access under the terms of the agreement
- Eligible author means corresponding author (CA) who wants to publish OA, and is affiliated with the institution at the time of submission
- MA Healthcare recognises that in some cases a CA may need to leave the current participating institution during the publishing process. It's important for the author to articulate this situation so that the article can still be made OA
- Hybrid journals that "flip" to OA during the course of this agreement will remain available for OA publishing for the duration of the agreement

- No other APC discounts are offered under this agreement
- MA Healthcare does not charge additional fees for page and/or colour. Authors should always check each journal's submission guidelines to ensure that they will not be subject to any other fees or charges.
