Finding theses

The Library holds at least one copy of Southern Cross University higher degree theses (Master by Research and Doctorate) and some Honours' theses.

To find SCU theses, search by author or topic, with "southern cross university" in the Search box.

A small number of theses from other institutions are in the general collection.

Trove
Trove provides access to the digital version of theses from all Australian Universities as well as those from Australian government research repositories.
Do a search on your topic, then limit your search to Theses (on the left hand side)

These databases provide free access to the fulltext of Australian and international theses.

New Zealand Educational Theses database
Made available by the NZ Council for Educational Research. NZET contains more han 10, 000 doctoral, masters and diploma theses in education topics about New Zealand and by New Zealanders at a wide range of overseas tertiary institutions. The theses date back to 1970's, many with links to fulltext.
ERIC
Educational Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and resources including masters and doctoral theses and dissertations as well as research reports with full text available from 1993. To search for theses in ERIC, enter your keyword in the search box, then set Limiter Publication Type to 'Dissertations/Theses - ALL' or 'Dissertations/Theses - Doctoral Dissertations' etc.

If the thesis you want is not freely available online ...

Search the library catalogue to find out if it is available for loan in the library collection.
Contact the library Document Supply Service for assistance as they may be able to borrow the thesis from another library.
